Connecticut Line CTSSAR - REPORT - Battle of Groton Heights Commemoration

Dear Compatriot Members of the Connecticut Line CTSSAR,

The Connecticut Line had a GREAT day at Fort Griswold Battlefield State Park today. 12 members participated in the ceremonies commemorating the 228th Anniversary of the Battle of Groton Heights and the Burning of New London (September 6, 1781). A lot of photos were taken, and hopefully they will be added to our website this week. I would like to thank the following Color Guardsmen for participating:

01) Harry Clarke - Hale
02) Damien Cregeau - Wadsworth
03) Dan Dudley - Hale
04) Lee Gerlander - Putnam
05) Todd Gerlander - Putnam
06) Randy Gerlander - Putnam
07) Mike Juhase - Putnam
08) Jim Rothgeb - Hale
09) Greg Peck - Hale
10) Tom Smith - Hale
11) John Towle - Putnam
12) Russell Wirtalla - Putnam

I also noticed several SAR present, including Jay Jackson, Tom Gorin, and others.

Our next event is this weekend, "OUR" Grand Encampment of the Connecticut Line CTSSAR in Lebanon, Connecticut.

Put your faith in God and keep your powder dry,
Todd L. Gerlander
Colonel Commanding
