Chartered: 15 Jan 1994
Home Area: Norwich
Namesake: Samuel Huntington
News: Apr 2004; Feb 2004; April 2006

Huntington Seal

Our branch is based in Norwich, but has members from all over eastern Connecticut and even one from Australia. As the newest branch in CT, we continue to grow steadly due to our activities in the area.

Colonel Jedediah Huntington’s Regiment is the Branch’s color guard and is commanded by Captain Frederick Rivard. The regiment participates in reenactments, parades, grave markings, memorial ceremonies or dedications, school programs and manning the SAR properties.

Each year we are at about 30 events in Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Hampshire, many of them with the New England Contingent of SAR Color Guards, the 11th Regiment of Connecticut Militia and General Wolcott’s Brigade.

Color Guard Dick Mooney
