See the feature-length documentary chronicling the life of the marquis de Lafayette, hero of the American and French Revolutions and original member of the Society of the Cincinnati, before it airs on WETA TV26 on Monday, September 13 at 10pm and PBS stations nationwide (check local listings). A Time Line Encampment Celebrating the 300th Birthday of Connecticut's Revolutionary War Leader.
All 18th-Century Living History Re-enactors spanning his lifetime, 1710-1785, are invited to participate:
Sutlers, Fur Traders, Native Americans, French & Indian War, Revolutionary War, Colonial Militia, Continental and French Army Units, Camp followers and Craftsmen (Registrations forms and information available in January 2010)
Special Activities at the Historic Sites Around the Green will complement the Encampment. Sites are Governor Jonathan Trumbull House, Revolutionary War Office, Jonathan Trumbull Jr. House Museum, Lebanon Historical Society Museum, Dr. William Beaumont Birthplace, and First Congregational Church designed by patriot-artist John Trumbull.

Lebanon is a major location on the Washington-Rochambeau Revolutionary Road National Historic Trail. The town was the site of the nearly 8-month encampment of Lauzun's Legion, the cavalry unit of the French army, Nov. 1780-June 1781.
